On a freezing afternoon, the only SCEFL Premier Division game that survived the icy conditions saw Fisher hold league leaders Faversham Town to a draw, in an entertaining and tense game despite the lack of goals. Fisher switched to a three at the back formation, partly to match up with Faversham’s shape and partly to compensate to injuries on the left hand side, with both Ed Sata and Courtney Barrington missing.  Don Macaulay and Jacob Katonia came in, with Charles Yiadom-Konadu only able to take a place on the bench due to illness, giving Kyrique Garvey Williams his first start.
Fisher were almost gifted the perfect start inside sixty seconds, with most of the 611 in attendance still taking their positions,  as Jake Lovell charged down keeper Jacob Russell’s clearance with the ball looping to Kesna Clarke, but a covering defender did just enough to force the eleven goal striker to hurry his effort and lift it over the bar from twenty yards out, with Russell still stranded.
At the other end Faversham’s first chance fell to the prolific Tashi-Jay Kwayie, who headed wide after arriving in the box to meet Simms deep cross. However, it was to be a rare sight of goal for the danger man, as Ange Djadja marshalled him superbly throughout the game at the heart of the Fisher back three. Fisher continued to be threat themselves and good link up play between Garvey-Williams and Clarke released Armani-Jordan Martin who burst into the box, but Russell rushed out to make a crucial block as Martin tries to roll it past him. As the game became end to end Faversham saw another cross headed wide and former Fish Kieron Campbell drilled in a shot from 25-yards, requiring a well-placed Isaac Ogunseri to hold under pressure from forwards on the follow up. Back up the other end Russell saved well at his near post to deny Jacob Katonia after he had cut in from the left, as both sides continued to exchange chances.
Faversham’s long throw was always a threat, but Fisher had clearly worked on their set up for it in training and defended it well, with Ogunseri outstanding in coming for the ball to relieve the pressure and Faversham’s main threat now seemed to come from dead balls, with a number of free kicks hit into the well set walls. Fisher created another good chance before the break, capitalising on another loose clearance from Russell, but Jake Lovell’s touch was a fraction too heavy as he raced into the box and Russell redeemed himself by stretching out a leg to take it away from the forward before he could get a shot off.
Faversham Town started the second half the better and from an early free kick Ogunseri had to fly to his top corner making the save of the game, to palm away Hasler’s strike, but unlike the breathless first half the chances then became fewer and far between as both sides cancelled each other out in midfield. A mazy run from Katonia down the left on the hour almost opened up the way to goal with Lovell not able to make clean connection as the ball fell to him in the box after the cross was not deal with and the ball skewed wide of the upright.
Fisher then had to soak up a lot of pressure with Faversham delivering ball after ball into the Fisher box, but Ogunseri was outstanding and Fisher’s shape immaculate as Macaulay and Vigneswaran showed their intelligence in operating as the wider centre backs, covering their wing backs superbly.
As the game moved into injury time Fishe found a second wind and roared on by a large travelling support looked the more likely to nick the points. Lovell escaped down the right but couldn’t keep his shot down and Yiadom-Konadu jinked into the box but just over ran the ball as he looked to shoot, meaning that both sides had to settle for a well-earned point and stay in their respective league positions.
