DAVE MEHMET RIP

We are saddened to learn of the death of our former manager and player, Dave Mehmet.

After making over 300 professional appearances for Millwall, Charlton, Gillingham and Tampa Bay Rowdies, Dave joined Fisher Athletic and played throughout our GM Conference seasons in the late eighties and early nineties. He joined the club again for a second time in the mid-nineties, including a spell as player-manager, scoring 27 goals in 170 appearances all told. Dave returned again in 2008, to manage the club during the final season as Fisher Athletic, showing huge loyalty in very challenging circumstances.

After leaving Fisher he had allegiances at several local clubs, notably managing and coaching at Beckenham Town and Stansfeld, where he will no doubt be equally missed. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends.
