AWAYDAYS: Chatham Town v Fisher – Saturday 26 March
Just five more away games until the end of the season and this is without doubt our most crucial. We’ve be hovering around the 30 away supporters for the past couple of months now so it’d give the players a massive boost to know we can get up to that 50 away supporters – and what better place to do it than at the league leaders home turf. Plus it’s Non-League Day, so another incentive for a proper turn out.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Bauvil Stadium lies just south of Chatham town centre, easy to find and easy to reach however you’re travelling there.
CAR
Out of south London simply follow the sign for Rochester/Chatham which is more or less the A2 East Rochester Way all the way down to Kent til you hit the M2. Exit the M2 at junction 3 and follow directions for Chatham & Town Centre. You will pass a Homebase on your left. Continue straight over the roundabout and you will approach a split in the road – bear right for Chatham. You are now on Maidstone Road – continue straight over the cross roads where you will see a petrol station on the left. Bournville Road is opposite the petrol station. Entrance to the ground Car Park is first left on Bournville Road.
TRAIN
Closest station to the ground is Chatham. Cheapest retrun fare from London is £19.30 – Super Off-Peak Day Return, and the journey time is between 45-60 minutes depending when you leave. Check here for times and ticket purchases: https://www.thetrainline.com/
Turn right on leaving the station and then right again – you are now on Maidstone Road. Continue up Maidstone Road until you pass the cemetery on your left – the Sports Ground is next on your left. It’s less than a mile to walk, although it is uphill.
BUSES
You can catch the 101, 176 or 700 from the town centre all will take you past the ground. Fore more details: https://moovitapp.com/index/en-gb/public_transportation-Chatham_Town_Fc-London_and_South_East-site_6819158-2122

THE FORM
As the saying goes there are no easy games in the run-in to the end of the season but this is our most character testing game so far. Chatham away is always a hard fought contest and given they’re battling with Sheppey in a two-horse title race they aren’t going to take their foot off the accelerator. That said from a fans perspective the Bauvill is a great ground to visit and we always get treated well there, if we can get a result on the pitch, it’ll be a massive confidence booster and something to work with in our remaining games.
