Football’s definitely home – Fisher’s pre-season friendlies confirmed
Fisher’s pre-season friendlies have now been confirmed – and we’re playing four home games throughout July with the big local south London derby against Millwall next Tuesday night.
First game is against Peacehaven & Telscombe who journey up from the east Sussex coast. The club are fan-owned like the Fish, and like the Fish have a passionate and committed following.
The main ultra groups are the dmahwlp (The Drunken Middle Aged Half Way Line Posse), The Hillbillies are behind which ever goal Peacehaven are aiming at, while The Knicker Sniffers feature in the North Stand Seats. Reports that the factions don’t talk to each other have been proven to be untrue. Will the Dockers End choir (with their bang-the-perspex percussion) be able to hold their own?
Millwall at St Paul’s on Tuesday night – football’s definitely home. Should be a test of the lads temperament against a young Millwall team out to impress.
That’s followed by two tough games against Stansted and Epsom & Ewell respectively, finishing with an away day to Bromleians. It’s a nice mix of games that’ll challenge the Fisher side and give manager Deano enough to think about as we go into the 2018/19 season playing premiership football once again.
